Once again Ameila Adams has given us something awesome to read. I love the continuation of this series and I am waiting patiently for the next.
This is about Jeanette & Phillip and the sneak peek to the next book in the series has me on my toes. I just don't want to wait for it.
Highly recommended series. Escaping an abusive uncle has these two sisters searching for a safe haven. Will they find this and much more, must read!
Wonderful read. This is a sweet historical romance and I was drawn into this story like a moth to a flame. I totally understood Jeanette's draw to nursing and to the handsome caring Dr Waymont. Once again the author has given us, her reader wonderful characters who move us to care about them and the outcome of their story. I can't wait to see what she will write next. You won't be able to put it down.
It's rare to find a author who can tell a story and make you feel as if you are there. Phillip is a Dr who doesn't need anyone and definitely not a wife. In the previous book Jeanette helped Phillip set a nasty break decides she wants to be a nurse but will Phillip agree to help her . Then when a case of Tuberculosis comes into the Brody hotel and Phillip reluctantly agrees to let Jeanette help nurse the patient will it be a mistake on his part or the wake up he needs.
We are so fortunate to live in an age where we have the technology to diagnose and treat many diseases. 100+ years ago, as depicted by this story, those were only dreams. And for those dreamers, research, trial and error were all they had.
We do have diseases that we don't have cures for, but we have facilities dedicated to doing research in hopes of finding treatments to cure those diseases.
Who knew a quiet, soft spoken girl could have so much determination. Jeanette has surprised the doctor to no end when she asks to learn to be a nurse. She has a lot more surprises for him and others too. A very good story and we finally get to find out about her nightmares and her family. A very enjoyable story to read.
Oh my goodness Jeanette and Philip the doctor! I am so pleased that they finally admitted that they were in love with each other. What a loving sacrifice he made in seeing to it that she went to school for six months.
I just hope she doesn't fall for someone else, but comes back to marry Philip and become his nurse as well as his helpmate. They are so good and right for each other. It will break my heart if they don't.
Another great story Amelia. I just absolutely love this series.
